The annual “Poppy Day” appeal organised by the Returned Soldiers’ Association, realised £1269, with a number of returns yet to come. Last year’s collection realised £1492. BIG SUM RAISED AT DUNEDIN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, April 19. Tiie Poppy Day appeal resulted in the raising of £l3OO in the city alone, this sum being exclusive of returns from the country districts. Last year the amount raised in the whole of Otago was £750.
