BOWLS

EASTERN SUBURBS TOURNEY The only outstanding bowling event for Easter in Wellington is the annual tournament promoted by the clubs of the eastern suburbs —Hataitai, Lyall Bay and Seatoun. Thirty rinks have entered, which means three sections of, ten rinks each, five games on each of the three greens. Three eighteen-head games will be played to-morrow or Saturday, and on Easter Monday. The post-section games will extend to the full 21 heads. Whilst there will be no big tournaments in Wellington during the holidays, there will be Easter tournaments at Oaniaru, Gisborne, Palmerston North. Christchurch, Auckland, Dunedin and Nelson. Several rinks from Wellington will attend the Nelson fixture, and one (from Eastbotfrne) will venture as far South as Oaniaru.
