RIFLE-SHOOTING

KARORI CLUB The Karorl Blfle Club held a club shoot over the SOO and 000 yards ranges on Saturday, this being the final stage of a fortnightly competition. The weather was line, but the conditions were far from ideal, a tricky rear wind upsetting the calculations of the most experienced shots. The highest range scorers were:—Boo yards: F. W. Ching, 47; H. Dore, 45; W. J. Haase, 451 900 yards: H. Frankland, 47; H. Dore, 45. The highest score for the day was returned by H. Frankland and H. Dore, BO each, which was good shooting under the conditions. H. Dore, who recently joined the club, Is showing form, and with more expeirence of Trentham conditions will be one of the clubs' leading shots. The fortnightly competition winners were:—Scratch men: H. Frankland, 89—90 —179. Handicap men: J. King, 85—80 — hdcp. 17—182. . Following are the detailed scores:— 800 900 yds. yds. Hep. TI.
