COUNTERING “LOSS OF NERVE”

LINDBERGH MAKES THREE FLIGHTS

Australian Press Association

(Rec. March 1, 7.5 p.m.)

Mexico City, February 28.

Colonel Lindbergh and Miss Morrow made three short flights to-day in the neighbourhood of Valbuena field, despite yesterday’s accident. The Colonel had the use of one hand In flying a commercial aeroplane which he borrowed for the occasion. Miss Morrow seemed to be nervous before the first flight, but both were smiling broadly at the end.

Observers believe that Lindbergh is applying the rule for a return to air immediately after an accident to prevent “loss of nerve.” Lindbergh will probably fly again to-morrow.
