SIR HUBERT WILKINS
PLANS FOR COMING SUMMER POLAR- TRIP IN SUBMARINE Australian Press Association. (Rec. February 28, 7.30 p.m.) New York, February 12. A message from Lima, Peru, states that Sir Hubert Wilkins passed through there to-day, en route for New York aboard the steamship Ebre. Sir Hubert Wilkins indicated, that he had made plans for an Arctic Polar exploration trip this summer in a submarine, or possibly would make a North Polar trip with the Graf Zeppelin before returning to the Antarctic in September. lie also intimated that he had planned the establishment of meteorological stations on the South Polar continent with, a ten-year programme of weather forecasting for all nations in the Southern Hemisphere.
