TO-DAY’S ROWING REGATTA

Very complete arrangements have been T made by the Wellington Regatta Club for to-day’s rowing regatta, and the public are assured of a fine afternoon’s sport. Alternative courses are available and it depends entirely on the direction of the wind as to which one is used. In the event of the wind being from, the south the race will be rowed on the city course —across Oriental Boy to the finishing lines at the Taranaki Street Wharf. The s.s. Janie Seddon will follow each race if the regatta is held in town, but not if held at Petone, on account of the distance from the wharf. The Korokoro course runs alongside the Hutt Road to the finish hear the railway crossing, and will be used if the wind is from the north. Should it be necessary to use the Korokoro course a flag will be flown from the Town Hall from 9.30 a.m. onwards.
