ESPERANTO

WELLINGTON CLUB. Mr. W. L. Edmanson presided at the weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club, which took place last Tuesday night in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute.. There was a good attendance of members present. In connection with “Esperanto and Commerce” it was pointed out that business men all over the world were finding out that Esperanto was worth while. Advertisements in Esperanto reached an international public. The language was so simple that busy men of affairs could quickly learn it and be able to conduct their own correspondence and negotiations. Classes for instruction were formed, after which Mr. L. E. Dust, Esperanto Consul for Wellington, outlined the Esperanto “Correlative System.” The secretary, Mr. B. Botts, delivered an address in Esperanto on “Mark Twain—His Life and Humour.”
