ESPERANTO
WELLINGTON CLUB. The first meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club for the new year took place last Tuesday evening in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute. Mr. E. C. Jack presiding. After the enrolment of new members, classes were formed for the study of the international language. In the course of the evening the president made a translation of an Interesting article in one of the European Esperanto publications on the subject: "Interesting Sidelights on the New Turkish Alphabet.” Tire secretary, Mr. B. Potts. Fellow of the British Esperanto Association, delivered an address in Esperanto on “The Esperanto Movement —its Ideal and Practical Sides.” This was followed by a blackboard address by the treasurer concerning “Grammatical Points.”
