Mr. Frederick W. Lane, a member of the firm of Lanes’, Ltd., cordial manufacturers, died suddenly at the Beaumont Hotel, Dunedin, yesterday. Mr. Lane had had his lunch and was sitting on the veranda' when he had a seizure, and he passed away at one o’clock. The deceased had been attended by Dr. Newlands for some time past for an affection of the heart. Mr. Lane has acted as sole traveller for the firm for many years, and was well-known from one end of Utago to ‘•’te other.—Special.
