Duncan has been chosen as captain of the English professional golfers against the United States for the Ryder Cup at Leeds on April 27, with Alliss, Burns. Boomer, Compston, (lotton, Mitchell, Robson, Charles Whitcombe, and Ernest Whitcombe. Notable absentees of previous Anglo-American contestants are /Ray, Jolly. Havers, and Gadd. A Hollywood message spites that Miss Vouelni tied for first place with 69. in the qualifying round for the 4000-dollar prize in a thirty-six hole golf tournament. Kirkwood tied for eighth place with 75.
