TOC H. CAMP
A SUCCESSFUL OUTING. The Schools Section of Toe H, Wellington, held their annual camp at Oyster Bay, off Tory Channel; from December 27 to January 10, at which local secondary schools and orphanages were represented and also the Toe H Rover crew.
The party was met in Tory Channel by the whaling launch Orin, and on arrival at the camp site tea was served at Mr, A. Heberloy’s homestead. An enjoyable time was spent fishing and boating, and trips were made on the launches Oria, Crescent, and Fern to Cherry Bay, Te Pangu, Picton, Resolution Bay, Te Awaiti, and Ngaruru Bny. Three of the party tramped to I’ort Underwood, and four others climbed Mt. Tarakawa. Two musical evenings were held nt Mr. Heberley's homestead. At the first Sunday service a message was rend from Padre Whitby James, of Tinui, At the second the address was given by Dr. F, Kemp. The party are much indebted to Mr. and Mrs. A. Heberley for their generous hospitality, without which the camp would not have been such a success. The campers also thank Mr. and Mrs. 11. Heberley, of Te Pangu, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, of Cherry Bay, for entertaining the party at their homesteads; Mr. J. Duncan for the use of the launch Fern, Mr. Barton of Upper Hutt, and friends who sent donations. The camp arrangements were under the direction of Mr. A. B. Malyon (camp commandant), Dr. F. Kemp (medical officer), 11. Fanning, Rover-Second R. Miles, G. N. Williams, and M. R. Macaskill. Dr. Bowerbank, of the Wellington executive, also accompanied the party.
