WELLINGTON SPEEDWAYS

TO SEAT FROM 10,000 TO 12.000,

Mr. George Sutherland, manager of Wellington Speedways, explained yesterday that the statement appearing in yesterday’s "Dominion” to the effect that the company’s new stadium at Kilbirnie would seat 6000 was incorrect. The stadium would definitely accommodate from 10,000 to 12,000 spectators every one of whom would have an unobstructed view of the tracks. The work of erecting the stadium will be commenced to-day.
