MATCH AGAINST TASMANIA JARDINE SCORES DOUBLE .CENTURY (Rec. January 14, 11.50 p.m.) Launceston, January 14. The match, Tasmania versus England, was continued at tlie Launceston cricket ground in fine weather to-day. Tlie Englishmen resumed their first innings and gave a bright display, a feature of which was Jardine’s sparkling performance in compiling 214 in 248 minutes. He hit twenty-six 4’s and gave chances at 7, 103, and 136. Mead compiled his first century of tlie tour, reaching 100 iu 114 minutes. England declared with eight wickets down for 482.
