LADY DOCTOR’S DEATH

EVIDENCE AT INQUEST By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gore, January 14. At the inquest on., Dr. A. Mathieson, the resident lady medical officer of the Gore Hospital, whoste death occurred on Saturday afternoon,, the evidence.showed that the deceased was lifting a heavy bottle of caijbolic acid when it broke, and she wa,s severely spattered. She called for assistance and collapsed. The usual measures were resorted to, artificial! respiration being carried on for three .hours. The medical opinion was that death was due to severe ishock, following extensive skin injurjr. The occurrence was without doubt ia pure accident. A verdict on these lin ps was returned by the Coroner. Decehsed was 2S years of age.
