Pressure is low also m the northern Tasman Sea. Moderate to strong northerly winds, reaching gale force at times, in and south of Cook Strait; backing to west and later to south-west. Seas becoming rather rough on the West Coast and off-shore south of Castlepoint; moderate north of Castlepoint. Strong northerly winds in the eastern Tasman, backing shortly to west and later to south-west with rough seas. Weather cloudy, humid, and sultry, with general rain developing. Thunder probable in places. Cooler temperatures after about 24 hours.
