Mr. William Owen, parish clerk and verger at St. Thomas’s Church. Coventry, is retiring after 42 years’ service, during which he has attended over 3000 weddings, 6000 baptisms, and 7000 funerals. Gerald Grimsdell. a nine-year-old boy living in the north of London, has a patch of garden in what was once the old Forest of Middlesex. Digging there the other day he found 600 silver Roman coins about the size of a sixpence.
