The 50 yards Centre championship w: allotted to the Wellington Club for the carnival on March 2. The Masterton Club was granted Febn ary 23 as the date for their second carniva and was allotted the 220 yards Centi championship. - 3 It was reported that with regard to th performance on Saturday of W. .Camero: in swimming the 100 yards championshi in 56 4-5 seconds—3-5 seconds better tha: the existing New Zealand record for th distance —it was unfortunate that the Cen tre could not recommend its recognition s the starting board was too high. Arrangements were made in regard t the New Zealand championship meeting t be held from February 2 to 0, and tl matter of providing a public stand ws discussed.
