The Masterton Club was granted Febn ary 23 as the date for their second carniva and was allotted the 220 yards Centi championship. - 3 It was reported that with regard to th performance on Saturday of W. .Camero: in swimming the 100 yards championshi in 56 4-5 seconds—3-5 seconds better tha: the existing New Zealand record for th distance —it was unfortunate that the Cen tre could not recommend its recognition s the starting board was too high. Arrangements were made in regard t the New Zealand championship meeting t be held from February 2 to 0, and tl matter of providing a public stand ws discussed.
