THE ELEANOR BOLLING

DEPARTURE THIS AFTERNOON (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, January 11. The Byrd Antarctic expedition ship, Eleanor Bolling, did not leave Dunedin to-day for the Buy of Whales, as was anticipated. Wireless messages received from Commander Byrd contained instructions for additional petrol and stores to be placed in the ship. The extra cargo will be loaded to-morrow morning, and the vessel will take her departure in the afternoon. The ship’s bunkers contain 250. tons of coal, and about 110 tons will be carried on deck.
