SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Mrs. D. Ritchie was hostess at a very successful concert for seafarers at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday, when a programme filled witli taking items was rendered. Light refreshments were dispensed in mi interval. The performers were Mrs. Ritchie, the Misses Reynolds, Newlands, and Murray, Messrs. Taylor and Carson, and Masters Harold Reynolds and Edmund Reynolds. Mrs. Ritchie and Miss Reynolds were at the piano. The novel competitions continue to afford much pleasure to the guests. The prizes came from Napier and went to the Somerset and Kent.
