An historic link between agriculture in Englund and in New Zealand is provided by two massive silver cups recently received by Mr. C. R. Cotterell, of Kohukohu, Ilokianga. They were bequeathed to him by his uncle, Mr. Robert Lowden Cotterell, of Rnscombe. near Twvford. Berkshire, who died seven months ngo. Berks Agricultural . Association. Three trophies of a similar kind were won by the late Mr. Cotterell. Two of these were bequeathed to another nephew, Mr. It. L. Cotterell. of Melbourne, whilst the fifth was returned by the winner as a gift to the Royal East Berks Agricultural Association. The late Mr. Cotterell was a splendid example of the veonian farmer (states the Auckland Star”).
