FOUR PUBLIC BENEFACTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, December 23. The estate and effects of the lata Andrew Clarke Caughey, of the firm of Smith and Caughey, Limited, have been sworn for the purposes of probate as being under the value of £250,000. The great bulk of the estate is assigned to members of the family, but there are four public benefactions of £5OO each to the Methodist Church at Portaferry, County Down, Ireland, to the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A., of Auckland, and the Methodist Orphanage, Auckland.
