STRANDED CELTIC
SALVAGE IMPRACTICABLE
London, December 18. Work has ceased aboard the stranded steamer Celtic owing to the worse weather and sea conditions. 'I lie bite Star superintendent at Queenstown has notified the company that he has proved extensive damage to - the bottom to exist, making the salvage of the ship impracticable, and expressing the opinion that further salvage expenditure is unjustified.
