BY-LAW AND CIVIL CASES By-law cases were dealt with by Messrs. A. Longmore and D. Sloane, J.P.'s, In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon. , Hugh Muir was fined £5 for driving in a dangerous manner. Leaving their vehicles unattended, cost Frederick T. Badcoek and Alfred G. Whitcombo 10s. each. Peter Lenardes, John D. Merrett, Henry JI. Murphy, Mark Soufflot, and James A. Stevenson were each fined £2 for speeding. Not having his vehicle properly lighted cost Francis J. Redshaw 10s. Leslie G. Radford was fined ss. for lighting a fire in the open without a permit from the City Council. Failure to give a signal when turning at an intersection cost Duncan J. Jlouat 10s. Leo Jacobsen was fined £1 for driving without lights, and was convicted and discharged for falling to stop on request. For crossing the footpath with a motorlorry at more than four miles an hour, Leonard J. Mitchell was fined 10s. Alan Fryer was fined ss. for riding a bicycle without a light. Riding a motor-cycle In a manner dangerous to the public cost Anthony T. Cooper £3. Alexander Champion was fined £3 for falling to give way to a motor-car at an Intersection.
