DEATH OF A. W. GORE (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, December 3. A. W. Gore, ex-lawn tennis champion, who won the singles at Wimbledon for the third time in 1909. died during the week-end aged 60. He played a big part in the development of, tennis from a garden party diversion to a strenuous international sport.
