ELECTRIC LIGHT SPORTS MEETING
To support the sports queen in the carnival to provide funds for the National Art Gallery and Museum, a special sports meeting under electric light is to be held at'the Basin Reserve to-morrow night. There will be a full programme of athletic and cycling events, as well as novelty races, and the entries indicate that the meeting will provide good sport in plenty. A start will be made at this meeting with the all-round championship for cyclists, and this event alone should be well worth seeing, since the competitors will be the pick of those on the track this season. In the athletic section there will also be high-class talent, and among the most interesting contests will be those for lady runners.
