SUSPECTED GAMINGHOUSES
RAID BY AUCKLAND DETECTIVES By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, November 26. Detectives on Saturday raided two offices in the Palmerston Buildings in Queen Street. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Joseph Spencer Greenwood, aged 59, and Henry Clifton Sallery, aged 38, pleaded guilty to keeping common gaming houses. George Geelong Paul admitted that he had assisted Greenwood in the management of a gaming house. The police stated that Sallery had been fined £75 on a similar charge in December of last year.
