NELSON SHOW
Dominion Special Service. Nelson, November 24. The weather was hot and there was a very large attendance at the A. and P. show to-day, when the light horse section was judged. There was' good competition, and entries were up to the standard of other years. Miss S. Tripe (Marlborough) won the Stanley Berryman Memorial Cup for best hack in the show, with Rampton, who secured two firsts In other events also. Miss Grace Goulfer (Blenheim) secured two firsts in jumping, and was placed in other events. ( Other prizetakers were: Miss Rich (Christchurch), riding for T. Newman; E. Dalton (Seddon), M. Goulter, and Miss Cook (Appleby). T,he total entries numbered 1400, au increase of 200 over last show. There was keen competition in some classes, especially in the Jersey cattle section and fat sheep and lambs, the latter being described by the judge as as good as could be found anywhere.
