FRED. LINDRUM ASSURED OF VICTORY IN FIRST MATCH IN LONDON (Australian Press Association.) London, November. 20. Fred Llndrum, Hie Australian billiards nlaver, is virtually assured of victory on his initial appearance. Melbourne Inman’s lead has already shrunk to 1221, with ten days to go. Lindrurn s partiality for top of. the table play has shown his weakness, but. in losing hazard play he has proved superior to any visiting player seen in London. He has even a greater variety than Grey, but his connecting link between' bottom and top of table games is his weakness. He frequently leaves on the in-off to reach the, spot end via a drop cannon, but he failed in an attempt • to-day. when ■he scored 1232 against Inman’s 1097.
LINDRUM v. McCONACHY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedin, November .21. At the close of to-day’s play, Lindrurn leads by 4079, to. McConachy’s 4041. Best breaks: Landrum. 1093, 380. and 198; McConachy, 209, 336, and 348.
