SALVATION ARMY

QUESTION OF GENERAL BOOTH’S SUCCESSOR (Australian Press Association.) London, November 20. The “Daily Express” states that in the event of the death of General Booth the secret envelope nominating his successor cannot be opened till the High Council meets. General Booth’s family is anxious to emphasise that they in no way impute unkindness and distrust to those responsible for summoning the council. They recognise that the conveners have given their lives to the cause solely with a desire for the welfare of the Salvation Army.
