BOMB EXPLOSION
ANOTHER OUTRAGE IN MELBOURNE AT SHIPPING MAN’S HOME (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Melbourne, November 21. Another bomb outrage occurred when the ground floor of William Swanton's home was wrecked early to-day. A hole three feet deep was torn in the floor, and a door sixty feet away was blown out and furniture wrecked. The four occupants on the upper floor escaped injury. (Rec. November 21, 10.20 p.m.) Melbourne, November 21. The bomb explosion at Swanton’s home, which is a palatial one in fine grounds, is believed to have been committed by the same ruffians responsible for the previous explosions. Swanton is a prominent shipping man and a director of the William Crosby Company. He is just now visiting Sydney. The only occupants of the home at the moment of the explosion were womenfolk, who were terrified. VOLUNTEER STEVEDORES ATTACKED (Rec. November 21, 10.20 p.m.) Melbourne, November 21. Two volunteer stevedores to-day were attacked in Flinders Street, city, by about twenty men. One’s jaw was broken, while the other suffered facial abrasions. The police arrested the main assailant.
