STALIN CONFERS WITH TROTSKY (Australian Press Association.) Riga, November 20. It is confirmed that Stalin summoned Trotsky from exile last week, and was engaged with him in a three-day conference in an attempt to win over the party groups at present in a state of armed neutrality. Trotsky refused to give way an inch, and returned to exile. The failure has considerably weakened Stalin's position.
