POLICE AND SUMMONS CASES Police and summons cases were heard before Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. “Right here!” was the reply given by Harry Blair Williamson, a galvaniser, a-ed 50, when his name was called in connection with a charge of drunkenness. Accused, a second offender, was lined 10s. John Mackinder, alias John White, a labourer, aged 28, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, with hard labour, on a charge of being £9 in arrears on an order for the support of Ins wife. He is to be released on payment of the arrears. On a charge of breaking and entering by day, the dwelling of Ivy Mane McArthur, 1 Grosvenor Terrace, and stealing jewellery, a gold watch, and milk tokens, of a total value of about £W, he was remanded until Wednesday next. SUMMONS CASES. On charges of failing to obtain radio licenses, Horace Lucchesi was fined £l, and costs; Danial Daley was ordered to pay costs, £1 Us.; and Edward Llewellyn Potts, was convicted and tlisCh HAroid W. Brown was fined £l, and costs, for failing to render a land agent s account within 28 days. The Magistrate remarked that the action appeared to have been brought through pique, that it was not a case for a heavy Penalty. Jack Power was fined £l, and costs, for being found on licensed premises after 110 On a charge of wilful and obscene exposure, in Riddiford Street, George Henry Evans, known as Harry Stevens, was ordered to be sent to the New Plymouth prison for twelve months.
