A large number of Lake Taupo trout have been tagged by the Department of Internal Affairs, and the co-operation of anglers is to be sought in noting particulars of those caught (states the Auckland “Herald”). The tags, which are of metal, are about a quarter of an Inch long, and have the letters I.A. stamped on one side and ir number on the other. They are attached to the dorsal fin close to the fish’s back. The Department is issuing printed cards to anglers to assist them in noting the required particulars.
