RIOT IN LYONS COUNCIL
THE COMBES STATUE AGAIN

A message from Lyons reports that there was a wild scene in the Municipal Council.
Al. Harriot, who is Alayor of Lyons, was making a speech, when a- person in the gallery shouted an insulting allusion to Harriot's unveiling of the statue to Emile Combes at Pons on Sunday. Riot immediately broke out, and 31. Harriot suspended the sitting. Councillors climbed into the gallery, whore they fought and ejected demonstrators, windows being smashed in the course of the struggle. Three people were arrested.
