DISPUTE CONCERNING INSCRIPTION (Australian Press Association.) Brussels, October 30. Mr. Warreii. Hie American architect, in charge of the restoration of Louvain Library, destroyed by the Germans during the war, is legally proceeding against (he University authorities. He says that many wealthy American contributors oppose tlie obliteration of Hie inscription: "Destroyed by German fury: restored by American generosity.” which was originally proposed, but which the University authorities disallowed. Monsignor I.adenze, rector of the University, stated that the inscription was contrary to the spirit of Locarno.
