POLL FAVOURS SETTING UP OF BOARD By Telegraph.—Press Association. • Auckland, October 31. Polls were taken in the city and suburbs to-day to determine whether a transport board should take control of the City Council’s transport system. The results were as follow: — City Toll. For 3 566 Against G 34 Suburban Polls. For Against '67 Majorities being secured in each instance. a board will now be set up in accordance with the Auckland Transport Board Act, passed by Parliament last session.
