RAILWAY EXCURSION TO AUCKLAND
The excursion to Auckland from November 2 to November 5, arranged by the Railway-Department, offers a unique opportunity for Wellington people to visit ’ their friends in Auckland. The return train will leave Auckland at 8 a.m. on Sunday, and arrive at Hangatiki at 11.40 a.m. Excursionists will then motor to Waitomo, and after a drive of considerable scenic beauty, will arrive at the ■world-famous Waitomo Caves. Over five enjoyable hours will be spent at these caves, and the train, leaving for Wellington at 6 p.m., will arrive here at 7 a.m., Monday. Week-end excursion tickets to Auckland and Frankton can be obtained . from stations between Wellington and Wanganui, and also at Taihape. Particulars are advertised in another column.
