Sir, —The coming licensing poll provides a splendid opportunity for the moderate drinker to protest against the ninepenny nip and the sixpenny “socalled” pint. By voting State control the moderate will be giving the brewery trusts and whisky gangs the straight, tip that unless prices, etc., are made more reasonable for the long-suffering public then they may look for trouble three years hence I —l am, etc., FRANK MUNSON.
