Paris, October 25. The French Tennis Federation’s ban on inter-club tennis is upsetting the schedule of the Riviera Tennis Club’s meeting at Monte Carlo. It was decided that, the Monaco tournaiiients be carried out bn the old courts instead of the new situated on French territory. Other clubs are sending letters to the federation pointing out that losses amounting to thousands sterling are involved in the prohibition. Failing a favourable reply they will appeal to the Government on the ground that they regularly paid taxes everv three years. If not settled satisfactorily the tournaments will be played in Italy. . Tennis players, don’t be misled. Ayres’ Championship Stitchless Tennis Balls have been selected as the official ball by the Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association. Insist on Ayres’.— Advt. The Slazenger Stitchless Ball Is used exclusively for all the principal tennis championships of the world. Last year thirty-six per cent, of Wimbledon entrants used Slazenger racquets—proof of Slazenger merit, surely I—Advt.
