By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Blenheim, October 11
Johnny Leckie (8.13) knocked out Dicky Vercoe (9.0) at Blenheim tonight at tlie end of the sixth round of a scheduled ten-round professional bout. Vercoe was on the defence all through and was too slow for his clever opponent. The Blenheim man adopted the crouch, aud when he did open out be missed badly against Leckie’s clever footwork. The champion won every round, and in the sixth he finished Vercoe with a short right hook to the point .
