NEW ZEALAND PHILATELIC SOCIETY
The annual meeting of the Philatelic Society of New Zealand was held last night, with Mr. E. P. Crowther in the chair. In submitted the annual balance-sheet Mr. A. E. Pollock wrote that owing to his being absent from New Zealand for three months he would be unable to continue to hold office, although he expressed his intention of remaining a member of the society. The report and balance-sheet were adopted and the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, the Hon. Sir 11. Heaton Rhodes. M.L.C., F R.P.S.L.: vice-presidents. Sir H. L. Ferguson. Drs. F. A. Bett and H. W. Prins, Messrs. 11. J. G. Collins and E. P. Crowther; hon. treasurer, Mr. TI. J. Colbert; hon. secretary and exchange superintendent, Mr. P. R. Jackson: committee. Messrs. H. T. M. Fathers. M. J. Spierb'ng. P. C. Nyberg, and R. Nichol. Mr. A. E. Pollock, the retiring treasurer, was unanimously elected a life member of the society. Messrs. E. G. Pilcher and L. A. Sanderson, both foundation members, were congratulated on their having maintained interest in the society for a period of forty years. . A display of stamps was given by Mr. M. J. Spierling after the close of the meeting. ~, „ . . ... After the close of the syllabus for this vear meetings will be held on the second Monday of every month.
