FINANCIAL ADJUSTMENT Sydney, October 11. Dr. Earle Page, the Federal Treasurer, in a speech declared that the recent financial adjustment between the Commonwealth and States, whereby the States lost the per capita payments, would save five millions of public money. .Further efforts would be made towards the co-ordination of Federal and States’ functions, with the object of effecting still greater economies and efficiency.
Dr. Page claimed a big record of achievement for the Bruce-Page composite Government, which had substantially improved the position of the countryman and altered the whole outlook on country development.!
