The novelties include a wire attacbment to Hie kettle-lid. which turns off the gas when the kettle boils: a device which seals a pie-crust and prevents the juice eseaping: an over-sharp breadknife which makes no crumbs: a teapot on I lie thermos principle: a folding telescope umbrella, which can be accommodated in n lady's handbag: and a telephone nttachmeul which, it is claimed, in event of the subscriber's absence records the calling number and records the message.
