COMING FISHING SEASON

* INDICATIONS OF A RECORD Dominion Special Service. Auckland, September 21. The coming fishing season promises to be a record one, and already a number of distinguished visitors from overseas have written making their reservations at Russell. Zane Grey advises that he will arrive in New Zealand from Tahiti on December 20. Included in his expedition will be that well-known fisherman, Captain Mitchell. Mr. Grey is devoting a great deal of time during his present visit to Tahiti to ascertaining the exact locality of tho breeding grounds of swordfish, which strike our northern coasts during the summer season. He hopes to find out whether in the winter period they leave New Zealand for the warmer waters of the Pacific, and whether, in tlie course of the next month or so, they will be moving south from the islands about Tahiti.
