LOST BY ONE VOTE POLITICAL SENSATION OF YEAR LICENSING BILL DEFEATED DECISION OF THE HOUSE The political sensation of (lie present Parliament was the rejection by the House of Representatives this morning, by the margin of one vote, of (he severely amended Licensing Bill. T'he division taken at 1.35 a.m. on the third reading, showed that 33 members supported the Bill, and that 31 opposed it. The division list, was as under: — Ayes (33). Noes (31).
