APPLICATIONS APPROVED The following loans have been approved by the Local Government Loans Board :— Wellington City Council: Streetwidening loan, 1928, £ '50,000; term, 361 years; interest, 5J per cent., sinkingfund 1 per cent. Upper Hutt Borough Council: Unemployment relief loan, 1928, £750; term, 20 years; interest, 5J per cent, sinking fund 3 per cent. Nelson City Council: Sands reserve loan, 1927 (part), £1500; term, 12 years; interest, 5J per cent., sinking fund 6 2-3 per cent. Johnsonville Town Board: Streets improvement supplementary loan, £530; term, 30 years; interest, 5} per cent., sinking fund 14 per cent. Otaue Town Board and Patangata County Council: Otane Town Hall and recreation grounds redemption, the former £335 and the latter £565; term, 20 years; interest. 6 per cent., sinking fund .1 per cent.
