GENERAL MONRO
retiring from army (Australian I’l-ess Association.) London, September 18. General Sir Charles Monro is retiring from the Army, having reached the age limit, being in his 69(11 year. He was Commander-in-Chief at the Dardanelles from October, 1915, ami carried out the evacuation of the British forces.
