MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE AND MAINTENANCE CASES Police mid maintenance eases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday were heard before Sir. J. 11. Salmon, SAI. Frank Hunt, a bricklayer, aged 59, who had been in the lock-up since Saturday evening, was convicted and discharged for a second offence of drunkenness. Norman McDonald, a seaman, aged 39. who had been in the lock-up since 2.10 p.m. on Saturday, was convicted and discharged for a second offence of drunkenness. A ninetcen-year-okl youth, whose mime was ordered to be suppressed, was lined £2 for casting offensive matter in a public place. MAINTENANCE CASES. Alexander King, who was charged with being £6 in arrears on an order tor the support of his wife, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as lie pays 11 Ils. a week. On the application ot Sub-Inspector Lander, the Magistrate ordered the issue of a warrant for the arrest ot I< rederick Blncklidge, who was charged with being in arrears to the extent of £-!•> "s. Id. on an order for the support of his four children.
