The Arabian Physician Ibn El Baitar (1197-1248) has given detailed information about same in his work on remedies, yet in modern practice its use has gradually become obsolete. It is, therefore, to the credit of Hudson’s Eumenthol Jujubes that this excellent herbal remedy has been again brought into use. Whilst thanks to the special method of preparing this curative plant, it has been possible to produce an absolutely harmless preparation that has no injurious effects of any kind. Although Eumenthol Jujubes may be taken generally, their main use will be found in cases of Whooping Cough and Catarrh in children, Bronchitis and Influenza, and the Prevention of incipient Consumption.
