WEST COAST DEFEATS OTAGO. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymoiitli, September 5. The West Coast Rugby League representatives to-day defeated the Otago touring team by 27 points to 13. after an interesting game, played in ideal weather. The half-time score was 10 all. Superiority in back play, especially by Robins, accounted for the Coast victory. The visitors won nearly all the scrums, but the forwards otherwise were fairly matched. The visiting full-back, Clydesdale, was prominent. Tries were scored for Mcst Coast by Robins (two). Brown, h. Quinn, Doogan, and Woodhouse, whilst E. Quinn converted four tries, and kicked two penalties. For Otago, tries were scored by Connelly and Hicks, while Sekoff converted a try and kicked a peualty. _____________
